Rescue Dogs

We have started doing quite a bit of rescue work mainly focusing on Australian Shepherds but really in herding dogs. We had been thinking of doing this for a long while as the need was very much there. Then one day we got a call from our county humane officer asking if we could help with an Australian Shepherd that needed to be rescued. We did that and we were hooked on rescue work. We love seeing these dogs blossom out of their shell and into great dogs. Herding dogs are amazing and so smart that they sometimes out smart their people which can cause trouble when not corrected. A lot of the dogs we have taken in have been heading to be euthanized for one reason or another. A lot also had been turned away from not only their breeders but rescues, shelters and humane societies. So we are here to work with them and have had great success!

As of right now we are not set up to be a non profit. We do this because we love our breed and dogs. We want to help them as much as we can and give every dog the best opportunity to have a great life.

We have two very sweet rescues looking for a home. They came from the same home but I think would benefit to be separated. They have been boarding with us for a month for one last chance for their owner to take them back. These boys both came to us no fault of theirs. Just an unfortunate result of a break up. However we have never heard from her. So it’s been over a month now and it’s time to find their home.

First we have KK he is 1 year old. Neutered. Leash, house and crate trained. He has great recall. Has been around livestock, other dogs and our kid and done well. He is also very sweet. He does come from a local breeder… however, we have no paperwork what so ever on him. We were told he was current on everything but again no paperwork. So we have boostered his DA2PP, wormed and flea medicated him.

Second is Jaxx (Aussie/heeler/??? Mix) not sure on age but from some research I would say 6 or older. He was one that came from NOAH back in 2018 from what I have found. Just like KK we have no paperwork. He is neutered and current on Da2pp, flea medication and worming from us. He is very sweet and easygoing. Does well with livestock, kids and other dogs. House, leash and crate trained.

As always, we will be picky where they go and again they did not come from us but were surrendered to us.

Adoption Fee is the same as all our rescues which is $500 each
